East Coast ATB was created in April of 2001 after several months of trial and error coordinating local area riders and ride spots. In May of 2003, the organization officially transitioned over to ECMOUNTAINBOARDING. The premise behind ECMOUNTAINBOARDING is to bring out the sport of Mountainboarding (in a more visible form) here on the East Coast. ECMOUNTAINBOARDING deals mainly in the organization and promotion of the sport through organizing ride sessions, various local and regional events, and now the "Annual" East Coast Mountainboard Tour. ECMOUNTAINBOARDING does not deal in product development or production. Our goal is to get more people to attend events, and buy equipment from the sports manufacturers.

ECMOUNTAINBOARDING has a team of riders that represents various portions of the East Coast. These team riders are also the ECMOUNTAINBOARDING Rep.’s when attending events in other regions of the USA. The most unique aspect of ECMOUNTAINBOARDING is that it is constantly adapting to the changes within the sport. Our initial concept will always remain intact, but our approach and presentation will change to meet the needs of our riders and that of the sport.
